Could the baby being small for gestation be my fault? Like because I haven't been taking a prenatal vitamin regularly? Sorry if its a dumb question.

Have you been tested for clotting or anything? DD1 measured small and had IUGR, but it was a side effect of my clotting disorder.

No this is the first time I have dealt with something like this. My last 3 pregnancies have been normal other than preterm labor with my middle and her measuring behind a few times.

I don't think so hun. To be honest I have been completely forgetting to take them this whole pregnancy. I am so bad at remembering those things. I have probably taken them a total of like a month.

If you're eating and not otherwise doing things to negatively affect your health, then no.

My DD was measuring small my entire pregnancy. She was just small at birth and is still a petite little girl. DS measured normal and was born 8lbs. He is a small kid now.

I pretty much never took prenatal vitamins. They made me feel like shit throughout my entire pregnancy. Baby is going to take what it needs from your body. The vitamins are more for you.
I'm pretty sure things like caffeine consumption and smoking are what can effect a baby's growth.

It's not your fault at all. I know I blamed myself and was furious and devastated when my dd stopped growing. In reality sometimes these things just happen.

She could just be little. Everything else is measuring healthy, right?

Yeah, no deformities or anything. Fluid levels are good, she has a 3 vessel cord, placenta looked good or so the tech said. Its just her measuring small and them trying to figure out why. I go to a specialist Tuesday for higher level ultrasound to look at her cord blood flow.

Same happened with DD (again, we found out years later it was clotting) cord was fine, fluid ended up low in the last trimester but she looked perfectly healthy the whole time.

If it was something like clotting wouldn't it have affected my other 3 pregnancies also?
