Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on using a bassinet versus the Arms Reach Co Sleeper the first few months?  What did you use and how did you like it??

Thank you!!

I had a pack n play. She used it 3 days. After that it was straight into bed with me. So I'd say the cosleeper.

DD slept in a bassinet until she was rolling over at 4 months.

I had everything for my first son. A crib, a swing, a bassinet, a play pen.
I breast fed, so he ended up sleeping in bed with me.
But my son lacks having much independence now, & even though I'm not %100 sure, I speculate that it had a lot to due with the fact that he didn't end up sleeping in his own bed until he was almost a year old.
I am pregnant now with my second child, a girl :) Due Oct 2, 2014 & I am going to try this differently this time around, I have a play yard with a bassinet attached. I still plan on breast feeding. But I am going to refrain from co-sleeping.

Dd is 2 and had coslept since she was 2 weeks old when she finally got to come home. We also co bath. She's very independent. She doesn't want your attention all the time. When she doesn't want anyone to play with me she tells me "no stop please." Then walks me to te couch and sits me down lol. I think a lot of independence has to do with our actual child's personality. Dd loves cuddles and everything to she just also needs her me time lol.

Thats how my 2 yr old is. He kicks me out of our bedroom so he can have his "me time" and plays quietly lol. He likes to do ALOT on his own sometimes its a lil scary though

It is! Especially since I've never been around a child that doesn't want you to play constantly. My sister was blown away by dd.  Her sons need someone constantly!
