Hospital bag! Mommyof2B 2 kids; Torrance, California 2829 posts

Just wondering when did you ladies start packing your hospital bag? With my first I didn't start packing till a week or 2 before my due date or to go in to be induced. This time I'm probably going to start packing a month before my due date just in case he wants to come early because my contractions feel so much stronger than with my first child.

I packed at 36 weeks but sort of just kept adding bits and pieces over the following weeks, I would pack as soon or as late as you like, I packed at 36 weeks as I kept having dreams i would get to l&d with an empty suitcase lol

Not until I go into labor lol...I just throw crap into a bag and call it good and head out the door.

Yeah and I still need to use things too. I don't feel like packing things up and having to keep taking them out and putting them back in. It's just easier to throw and go.

Exactly :) I mean I can understand a first time mom feeling like they would need to cause you honestly dont know what to expect or anything, but I already know that they will have everything I need for me and baby there, I just plan on throwing in several of my pajama pants, a couple of comfy shirts, grab the babies outfits out of his closet, head to the bathroom throw in my deoderant, toothbrush toothpaste and hair brush, and on my way out grab the computer, phone, camera and chargers, all of which are always together so its not like I have to look for anything. :D I will have my hubby run to walmart for me after baby to grab a couple of those travel shampoos and conditioners because the hospital never supplies enough of those haha.

Haha your plan sounds exactly like mine! I completely agree with you though. When I was pregnant with my first I was packed and ready to go around 32 weeks lol. This time not so much.

I over packed both times. All you really need is travel soaps and clothes to go home in....

Same here with my first i over pack way too much and when we came home with the luggage i was so tired it took me weeks to finally empty the suitcaseout lol. Do u really need soap? Because with my first i didnt even use mine besides the hospital. Just to think about it there wont be much stuff in the bag
