OK so this is pretty personal and embarrassing but DH and I have not had sex since I've become pregnant. Its complicated. But anyways. I'm about 6 months pregnant now and I want to have sex but I'm scared. I'm afraid since I haven't done it since being pregnant it might somehow put me in preterm labor or something. Idk this probably just sounds crazy. But I've already had braxton hicks and I think its early for that being my first pregnancy. I just dont want anything bad to happen.

First of all. No its not early to be having BH already even with it being your first, totally normal. Second its normal to feel scared and worried about having sex when pregnant, if you want to try though you should be fine, chances of it putting you into preterm labor are very low :D

If you are in tune with your body you will feel them early on. Unless you have been advised not to have sex you are good to go. The biggest thing is find a position that is comfortable for you. I didn't have sex later in pregnancy because I was just too uncomfortable.

Girl that's how I was me and my bf didn't have sex until this month and I'm 4 months. I was told that soon as a pregnant women hits 6 months they can't have sex because the female can go into labor early. I knew someone who did that but they were 7months pregnant and then they know there little baby was born at 7 months. But to be honest every female is different. But you should talk to your obgyn and see what they say.

That's awesome! I would be nervous too especially at 6 months.

Good! That's makes me feel a little better. I'm just pretty paranoid about everything.

Just wanted to add that after you have sex you more than likely will experience BH, but don't be alarmed, it's totally normal!

We have sex like once a month now and the WHOLE time I'm mentally panicking that I'm gonna go into labor! I never thought I'd be afriad to have sex. But everything has been fine so I'm thinking we might up it to twice a month lol though I will be honest, for me I get BH throughout the night after and I spot, it's VERY little spotting though and my doctor said spotting and discomfort is very normal after sex :)

DH and I have sex about 3-5 times a week and I am 36 weeks with number 3. We have been having this amount of sex since we have been married (minus postpartum recovery and deployments). As long as you have not been told to not have sex by your OB it is perfectly safe to have sex at any time in your pregnancy. Good luck :)

Go for it girl, there is no risk if you have a normal pregnancy. So you can have as much sex as you want and the important thing is that you want it now.
