About the name Evangeline? I just happened to see it and it captivated my attention. Although we said the name of our baby will be Daphne if it is a girl, I can't fall in love with it like I can Evangeline. It is so beautiful for an adult woman & has some very cute nn for a little girl as well :)

Also would you think the name will go with a future brother Gabriel? (if this one happens to be a girl.)

I don't know anyone named Evangeline and on one website it says it's in the 300's.

I like Daphne, but I don't love it and I'm not a huge fan of Antoinette and I know my husband won't like it either.

Thank you both for your opinions though, much appreciated :)

Its number 17 on nameberry. I think it got more popular because its the name of the pirincess in the Disney movie princess and the frog

That's what dh and I wanted to name our daughter if we ever had one. Our name was going to be Evangeline Faith.

I think Evangeline is beautiful. And I think it works great with Gabriel. If it's the name you're absolutely in love with the most, then definitely use it!

Thank you! :) I'm really loving this name. I think Daphne is absolutely gorgeous, but it's just not "the" name and I think that Evangeline could be it. It doesn't seem to be that popular, even with the Princess and the Frog (I forgot it was the name of the star in that movie). I never even heard of it until I saw it on nameberry.

Idk about Evangeline, but my name is Angelene and I've always gotten complements on it.

I like Evangeline over Daphne too, although I think Daphne is also pretty. If it fits, then it just does and I definitely think you should go with it if that's the way you feel about it.

I've never even seen the movie, but a little girl might think it's cool to have the same name as a Disney princess!
