With DS, I had bh contrations like crazy. They were so bad from about 28 weeks and on. Now I'm almost 32 weeks and nothing. I had high blood pressure and was high risk with DS. This time I have no problems at all. I've also been drinking a ton of water. I've been cramping but more like period cramps and my doctor just thinks its my cysts and my other problems just getting irritated from the stretching and growing. Has anyone just never had bh contractions at all during their pregnancy?

I never contracted in any way with my first. Nothing. No BH. No real contractions. Nothing.

Oh wow. I didn't have real contractions until I was right about to have DS. I didn't feel him kick which is why I even went to the hospital and they told .e I was in labor lol I was in labor for 4 1/2 hours.

yea, I was 40 weeks and still didn't have a BH. A week later, I had a c-section. Before we went back to the OR though, he checked me one last time and said I didn't dilate enough to even put his pinky finger tip in. I never contracted. With the twins, I did have BH. I had a lot of them actually from like, 28 weeks on. They never dilated me or changed my cervix though.

Well sheeit, consider yourself lucky. I've had them since 18 or so weeks and they're starting to get kind of uncomfortable now!

did you birth naturally? cause I would have taken all your contractions to have gone without the c-section!

I did birth naturally, and I would take the contractions over a csection too!

HATE YOU Evil Mad

I kid. I wish I got to go naturally but my body had other plans. I don't think it knows what to do or how to dilate. I had 14lbs of baby in me and still nothing. My cervix shortened slightly.  Shy

My mom's cervix wouldn't dilate either. She had 3 c-sections. So did my cousin (married into the family). My 9 pounder ripped me a new one though. I can't compare to a csection obviously but it hurt to walk, sit, lay down, anything for a month. Birthing babies sucks whatever way they come out lol

yea, my mom had an emergency c-section with me and then VBAC'd with my 10lb brother. I was 8lbs 6oz. myself. The first one I had, they gave me a 24 hr dose of morphine and I seriously don't remember anything from that first 24. The second day I came around some but it wasn't too painful...it was that week after. My second one was a breeze compared. I was walking to the nursery to pick up the twins- back and forth.

They do. I just wish my body didn't suck cause now I've got life long problems from the csections...and if I have another kid, I'll have to get another.
