What kind of medication was you on? I have been on 50 mg of Zoloft through out my whole pregnancy. I have severe depression and anxiety to the point it is debilitating. I couldn't get out of bed and lost so much weight from the constant anxiety. My dr and I agreed that medications benefit outweigh the risks

I'm sorry you're going through this. I went through the same thing with DD1 and honestly, my connection with her still isn't the same as with my other two.

Try talking to your doctor about anything you can take that's pregnancy safe. I was on Citalopram (still am) and it did help some. I went through major PPD after she was born and I didn't get help which I think is what has caused this rift between me and DD1.

i was taking Citalopram. i think 20mg but it was not safe to take during pregnancy. i know as soon as i have the baby i'll be scheduling an apt with my primary dr to get back on something. i am hoping to breastfeed and will be asking lots of questions as far as whats safe to take. but i just feel like i am trying my best to be "normal" and failing hopelessly. i put on a smile for my kids because they deserve a happy loving mommy. but under it all i am just so lost.

my primary told me i couldnt take Citalopram being pregnant. and i am so anti medicine i dropped it instantly. i actually stopped taking it before i found out because i had a feeling i was pregnant. and it worried me about the safety.

That's strange. I've taken it during all three pregnancies.
