i'm not sure if i'm pregnant yet, but i'm going into the doc in 2 days, and i haven't had a period since the middle of april.... so yeah. my question is for those who don't do a very good job with keeping track of their periods. what happens if you're pregnant but you can't give them the date of your last period, and you don't know when you concieved? last time i was pregnant i knew the date my last period had started, but my cycles are longer than average and i never took the time to check how much longer. they really never did figure out if my due date was jan 1st or dec 20th... what's going to happen this time? i hope they'll just do an u/s and use that date... i know it's not the most accurate method.

I didn't know when my last period was either whenever I got pregnant..I had so much going on at that time. They just did an ultrasound to see how far along I was and used that date

I have no Idea.. I'm terrible at keeping track.. I know generally when it started, but i don't know the "last day." Hell..the last day was when I started getting laid again..that's all I know I don't pay close attention...Course i'm not TTC that serious right now either.

cool, i hope they do that. some docs are weird and only want to do so many ultrasounds.... or at least that's what i've heard from a few friends.

Exactly like morganpaige05 said... the doctor will give you an estimation to the best of their abilities of how far along you are. Don't stress if you don't know most women know around when it should arrive like you do in the middle of the month. It is no biggie not to know the exact date.

Mine only wanted to do 2.. one for when I just got pregnant and one at 20 weeks to see if it was a boy or girl. I hated it cuz i loved getting to see my baby lol.. but he didn't really seem to mind whenever i didn't know when my last period was.

yea i didn't know either, i just new it was early or mid Nov. and i told them that so they gave me a "guess" due date b/ gave me a for sure one when they did my ultrasound, they ended up doing two b/c my first ultrasound my baby boy was 16wks when they measured him and i got my due date then, and went in a month later for the "regular" 20 wks ultras.

i had no freaking idea when my last period was and a conceiving date was impossible to know.
so we did a guestimation and then went in for an u/s and they went by his weight etc.
and they were perfect with that date. he came a day before his duedate

i don't think it's going to matter. :( i've been waiting over 2 month now and 2 days before i go to the doc i start bleeding. it's not really like a normal period though, it's mucus-y and i'm having weird cervix sensations. i don't think i can do anything about it though, even if i am pregnant. if i went into the er they would look at me like i'm a crazy lady having a period or something. i'm sure it's probably just hopeful wishing on my part, because i took the home pregnancy tests and they were all negative.
