Just a stupid ? Im thinking 37wks but I was wondering after what week do they say it if safe for the baby to be born with out the chance of his lungs not being completly mature enough or any other pretermcomplications arising?
(it was "mentioned" at the dr that they may have to induce early cuz of my GD & other complications ive had& i want to know what is the safety zone I have for him not to have any problems?)
The drs here like to induce to suit the mom... it pissed me off girls here have went to other drs to find one that would induce them & i want to make sure they dont try & do it early just to get it over with
Yea I think 37 weeks is considered full-term.
after 24w the baby is viable but i think after the 28w mark the chances are much better!
Quoting Mary W:
37 weeks is considerd Full Term :)
It is safe after 37 weeks the babies lungs are developed and everything will be fine! Good luck to you and your baby!
depnds. It would not have been heathly for Sandra to come at 37weeks.
There are babies that come at 35weeks and are fine.
37 weeks is term and 40 is full term
37 weeks is considered term :)
40 weeks is normally what is best as its full term :)
Not complety sure when babies lungs complety mature but they have steroids to help that process. They give you 2 shots. each on diffrent days.
They help mature the babies lungs. If it wasnt for that im sure my baby wouldnt have been breathing on her own.
I think 37 is consider full term but I have heard of babies having problems at 37 weeks with their lungs. I just depends on the baby.
When I went in the doc yesterdaysaid that after I hit my 36 week that he'll feel comfortable letting her come. But Ive had a lot of problems with contractionsblood pressure and a bacterial infection and UTI.My son also weighed 9 pds and was 10 days early. But if hes okay with it at 36 weeks then Im trusting shell be okay!
37 weeks is usually safe, if the due date is on. butwith such good prenatal care nowadays 36 week babies usually doreal good as well. it all depends on the baby too. some babies need more time than others to develop.
