Contractions while sleeping Peityns♥Mommy 33 kids; Pennsylvania 62 posts

I just turned 34 weeks and I've noticed stronger Braxton Hicks Contractions, but at night while I am sleeping, it seems as though anytime I move I get really strong contractions. They don't really hurt, I just feel a lot of pressure. Sometimes I will get sharp pains that shoot toward my lower back and bottom. I've read that Braxton Hicks shouldn't come frequently, but with me, I think I had a total of 6-8 last night. I really wasnt counting how far apart they were because for one, they didnt hurt, and 2, I figured I was just triggering them by moving. I haven't had any so far today. So my question is: Is anyone else experienceing something like this? If its not common, I am going to go ahead and contact my Ob about it. I am trying to limit my calls to him. I know a lot of my questions are just first time mommy-to-be worries.

I have them while I'm in bed. I started having them at 5am this morning, right after my hubby left for work. I guess they weren't bad enough to keep me awake, but I was aware I was having them. I REALLY want to have my baby!

Braxton Hicks are very normal and they'll increase until you really go into labor dont worry too much. As long as they go away and arent 60 seconds long and 5 min apart your golden.

You're really close tho! I am sure ur excited. I still have a little over a month and I am hoping that every little contraction or pain is the sign of labor. lol. I am just so ready to see my little one. It's hard to wait so long!

But my contractions were strong enough to keep me awake. They were making my now very outty belly button invert back in. My stomach kind of had a peanut shape to it. It was really weird actually.

i would call your OB. you may be dialating, which is what i did when i had the pains you described, and i was induced a day later. i would call your doctor as soon as possible just to be sure the baby is safe. you never know......

I have had the 'painless' ones for a night or two... especially when you try to turn in your sleep. Just last night I had ones that were kinda painful.. they definitely woke me from my sleep. I just kept tossing and turning every 20/30 minutes or so to get into a new comfy position to try and sleep (because lately I have been EXHAUSTED!) Have you had any other symptoms? Labor is getting closer for me... He has dropped, my BH contractions are getting more painful (this is the first week I have ever felt BH), and yesterday for NO reason at all I threw up all projectile while in the middle ofa meal (so weird, since I wasn't feeling nauseous) My midwife says it could be from too much pressure down there (ie.. he needs to come out soon) :) She thinks my DR is off on the date.. and gives me two more weeks instead of 5. So you could be ahead, as well. :) Tonight if I get more I am going to time them :)
