Does anyone know where I can get a chart that shows the average infant weight/growth by age?
Chloe's 3 mos and she only weighs 12 lbs and she's only 23 inches long. She weighed 7lbs 6 oz at birth. Even tho she eats like a horse I'm worried she's not growing/gaining enough. Aren't they supposed to double their birth weight by now?
my sister was 5lbs 15 oz at birth and only weighed 14lbs at a year old as long as the dr isnt worried i wouldnt be
no - double at 6 months and triple by a year. It sounds like shes doin just fine! especially for a girl, dont worry!
Double by 4 months, quadruple by 2 years is the new standard .
My daughter was a few ounces away from doubling hers at her 4 month appointment. She was 7 pounds, 4 ounces at birth.
I wouldn't be concerned if she is growing at a steady pace, Alani wasn't even 12 pounds at 3 months, she was just over 11, & the doctor said that was fine!

4 months? My daughter was born 6.8lbs, 59cms and she's only 2 months now and weighs 12 lbs. and measures 60cms.Should I be worried?
My daughter didn't double her birthweight until almost 8 months old. I have a tiny baby too, but like other moms said - as long as she's making steady, upward progression, she's fine. If your Dr hasn't said anything to you, don't be worried. Some babies are just small.
