I am currently using Momma Bee by Burts Bee and I'm not crazy about it. It smells kinda weird and goes on even weirder. So far I don't have any stretch marks on my belly (none from first pregnancy and none so far with 2nd). What is the best brand to use???

try spitting on them, i hear that works.. or massaging orange juice all over the belly. but make sure yo get the kind with lots of pulp, something about the pulp makes them never show up!

i dont think theres anything, that can totally prevent them.. you can keep it moist to relive the itching, if you get them you do.. i just use vaseline cocca butter lotion, to keep it moist so its not always itchy.. but, i have stratch marks galore :P

well honestly theres nothing to prevent them :( I have tons of them now, very painful and I just figured out today after having a silly idea, that neosporin [sp?] helps with the pain... So if you do get them that might help

I use Clairins Body Tonic Oil.
So far so good, but I'm not showing too much yet. I know a girl that used it with both her pregnancies and didn't get one single mark. They say it's hereditary, I think stretchies are caused by itching. My mom has uber stretchies because she was allergic to cocoa butter and scratched her tummy all the time.
The oil smells great and I've read good reviews.

There's nothing you can do to prevent stretch marks, if you get them you get them and they will fade over time.

But I use a concoction that I mix together myself. Vitamin e oil + monoi oil + pure african shea butter. I mix it all together in my hand and slather it all over my, my b**bs, my sides, my stomach, my back, my sides and my butt! I have to walk around the house naked because I am a shiny little(big) greaseball. But before I leave for work in the morning I just apply the shea butter so it's not greasy while I sit at work all day. So far... no stretch marks. And I started this regimen the first day I found out I was pregnant! OH also my doctor allows me to take a vitamin e pill along with my prenatal everyday to help moisturize from the inside out!

Because just so you know, stretch marks occur in the lower layers of skin called the dermis... the only thing that creams and butters do is moisturize the epidermis which is the upper layer of skin. Which means you should drink lots of water to stay hydrated from the inside out and ask your doc if you're allowed to take a vitamin e supplement to help with moisturizing from the inside.
