I am sooo constipated, I am working really hard to drink lots of water, fruits veggies and fibre but still have troubles going to the bathroom. Does anyone know if I can do a colon cleanse while pregnant? Even something really mild just to help the ...flow to things.............? And if not what is in a cleanse that is so bad for you and baby while pregnant? Because as I read the ingredients to alot of these things its pretty much all nature stuff that we eat anyway.

you dont need to do all that just go to the drug store and get something to help you go (always make sure it's ok with your Dr. first though) You are in the stage of not being able to go to the bathroom dont worry hun it will go away until then sit in a hot tub and pray to God it doesn't hurt too much .... thats what i did

OH and i'm sure it would be ok if you wanted the colon cleansing because women who are preg. get enemas ( however you spell it)

They do give enemas (if requested) to women that are already in labor at the hospital (or at home before they go). Other than that is is usually a last resort for relief because the cramping it causes can mirror contractions, which as we all know wouldnt be so good if your baby wasnt full term yet.

I do not know for sure, but seems like a colon cleansing would be very unsafe to do. Might set of contractions or something!

Phillips Milk of Magnesia tastes nasty, but it works quite well. Also ask your doc to prescribe a stool softener. Mine gave me something to take twice a day and it was pretty helpful.

As far as the enemas go, I'm pretty sure those are only done right before delivery for some women. I've never had one.

I heard that in the morning its good to drink a few glasses of water before eating, to flush out what toxins that have been sitting in the body at night.
Thanks

I did a Google search "colon cleansing" and found a web site http://naturalcoloncleanse.com/ and they rate the products out there. Hope this helps!

As you are pregnant it is better to take advice from a doctor to get rid of constipation. Natural remedies are best which don't have any side effects.
