Lately ive been waking up in the middle of the nite b/c i get pains in my butt cheeks and they hurt! If i sleep on my right side for too long, then the right cheek hurts, and same with the left. This is so wierd!! Anyone else go thru that, or am i the only odd one? lol

If they are cramps, try eating bananas for more potassium...I get them in my legs.

you've fallen trap to the sciatic nerve......it is a sharp pain that i get in my butt cheek and as the pregnancy has progressed, it has moved to the top of my thigh....some women get it going all the way down their leg.....it sucks and it is probably around to stay.....potassium is great....but, don't eat it too close to bed time....it likes to give you bad dreams!...booo!

I just read about this yesterday. It's normal the farther along you get in your pregnancy. I'm not sure if it's called Sciatica or something else ( there were a few different back pain conditions and names for them, sorry.) lol. The article said to massage the affected area and it will go away when the baby is born. Walking will help to stretch the muscles and ease the pain.

my midwife told me that for me, the pain in my butt cheek was the sciatica nerve.....she said to do a cold pack for a bit to numb the pain, then a heating pad to get the blood flowing to the area to help repair the pain....just a thought!
