Hello everyone! I was just wondering if any of you get, or have had side aches while you were pregnant. I had to take my maternity leave early becus I have been having right side aches a lot. I have been told that I am carring my baby as high as I can which makes me believe that is why I feel this ache a lot. The only way to relieve it is to lay down, on my left side. I cant do that at work, hence the reason I have left early. I have told my midwives about this and they said its normal, and just to do what my body wants; if that means to lay down, then I should do that. I just wanted to know if there is anyone else out there that knows what I am going through. Thanks!
I had that. I was told the baby was pushing on something that was causing pain and the only thing to do was try and get him to move or wait it out. I would take luke warm baths and read to try and get my mind off it best I could.
Oh yes!! I know EXACTLY what you mean. It usually starts hurting when I cant do anything about it right away lol Like when Im driving or walking around shopping.. Or even just sitting around and yeah laying on my side helps so much. I get mine on the left side and when it hurts it really hurts!! Its good to know Im not alone!
yep. My left side normally hurts. From what I'm told there really isn't much you can do. I was told to take tylenol. I did one day but my little one wasn't very active and that freaked me out so now I just deal with it.
i was just going to post how bad my right side hurts... right under my b**b all the way around to my back. i was dying all night at work and i'm about to go lay down cuz i can barely sit here. it's horrible. i've been experiencing this for about a month and i've been told to get used to it cuz it's not going away any time soon. it's soooooo annoying. but i'm not sure if it's cuz you're carrying high, because i'm carrying pretty low and i have the same thing. i was told it's just all your innards moving and compressing to make room. i can't even imagine how uncomfortable i'm going to be when i get even bigger!
Well Im both sad and happy to hear that theres more women out there that feel the same as me. I had to take my leave early cus I just cant handle this pain at work. I felt bad about it cus a lot of other women at work kept saying how they worked up to the end of their pregnancy, and here I was leaving early. I figured I would have to deal with it till the end, but I was hoping there was something I could do meanwhile. I really look up to women that have had many children, I dont see how they could deal with this over and over again. I guess the reward is truely worth it in the end.
I have been having problems with ab aches. I can't really describe them... they aren't cramps, but I almost have to walk slouched and sitting is not an option.. I have to lay down when I have these aches. They don't come very often, but when they do... its aweful!
Quoting ACruz41489:“ I have been having problems with ab aches. I can't really describe them... they aren't cramps, but I ... [snip!] ... is not an option.. I have to lay down when I have these aches. They don't come very often, but when they do... its aweful!”
This is one of the reasons I took my maternity leave early, I couldnt stand the pain- or annoyance. Sitting doesnt help me either, but a little light stretching does. Sometimes I get ab aches too, and all I can guess is those are due to the over working of them from getting up and down, in and out of bed, etc. I never knew how many things a pregnant woman goes through, till now. Its a struggle! I hope you dont get too many more abby aches ;)
