I went to my first apointment today, I am 11 weeks and he couldnt find the heartbeat, is that normal? should i be worried?
Mine wouldnt even look till 14 weeks. Just in case she couldnt find it.
They found my baby's at 8 weeks, but everyone's different. Have you still been having symptoms?
i didnt get to hear my babies until 16 weeks.
I didn't hear the heartbeat until 14 weeks.
thats strange. Did they say why? Did they tell you if the baby was ok? I heard my babys heartbeat at 12 weeks.
If they were trying with that little doppler thing, then yes totally normal. My dr almost sent me in for an ultrasound at 8 weeks bc they couldn't find one for my baby. He said it was totally normal until you were bigger for them to not be able to find one with a doppler.
Your profile says 9 weeks if your 9 weeks they may or may not, but i am 12 weeks and at my 11 week apt i heard mine, with myson i heard it at 12 weeks. On U/S I saw mines at 8 weeks for both of them
they got mine's heartbeat on the ultrasound at 8 weeks 3 days and 10 weeks 3 days, but they first tried the doppler at my 10 week 3 day appt. and couldn't get it, that's why they went ahead and did another ultrasound, and then at my 12 weeks 3 days appt, they got the baby's heart beat on the doppler.
Have you went for your ultrasound yet? Did they show you the baby's heartbeat?
The doc. did not seem to worried, and they are setting up an ultrasound apointment for the next week or so. He told me to go back in two weeks. Yeas i still have sympotoms. They were just useing a little doppler thing!
Quoting Laura_k_222:“ The doc. did not seem to worried, and they are setting up an ultrasound apointment for the next week ... [snip!] ... next week or so. He told me to go back in two weeks. Yeas i still have sympotoms. They were just useing a little doppler thing!”
Oh, if it was just the doppler then that's nothing to worry about, mama. I'm sure your baby's fine. I was so happy when I saw her on an ultrasound for the first time. I like, turned to mush, lol.
If the doc is not worried I wouldn't be panicing yet. If they however can not detect the heartbeat at your ultrasound, then I'd be worried. Sometimes its hard for a doctor to find a heartbeat with a doppler early in pregnancy. But if they cannot see the little heart beating on a ultrasound, I'd be freaking.
