Actually she can't...
Anyways, I was flipping through the channels today and came across the informercial "Your baby can read". I watched it for a little while, I am dumbfounded as to what those babies can do! Has anyone else seen this?
That's really cute!!! I don't think I would spend 120 dollars on it though. I think I will just create my own learning program, and flash cards, and teach them how to spell and pronounce words accurately :) I hope it works my way :D
If you guys look more into things you may find that parents are discouraged from trying to teach too much of this type of thing too early. After all, they are going to spend their entire childhood in school doing just that. They should be developing good social skills and learning to play independently. They need to learn to self-moderate by learning to pretend. Just reading to your child 20 minutes everyday gives them a good start on language patterns and sets a routine and instills a love for reading and learning. Also, if the parents read the child is more likely to do so as well. Let your child be a child. IMO.
