Anyone have one? I have some questions and google is full of HORROR stories and not any of the info that I'm really looking for.

*When did your doctor find it and how? (Did an u/s detect it or was it found because you started bleeding?)
*How long did you bleed and when did it finally stop?
*Did it cause any problems w/ the placenta & was the baby full term?
*Could you feel the baby pushing on it? (I know that sounds stupid but my ob has confirmed that it is what I'm feeling. It's a very strange but distinct feeling....reminds me of what it feels like when you press on a bruise.)

Thanks!

I had one, I never had any bleeding so the found it from my ultrasound at about 6 weeks.They told me to take it easy and not exercise or have sex, I had a couple of follow up u/s and the last one (about 10 weeks ago)I had they said it was gone. I'm about 28 weeks now and everything is fine. It did scare the crap out of me though. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your answers ladies! I don't feel so alone.

It was found after some major bleeding at 13 weeks. I am 17 weeks and have bled for 4 weeks. I've had a few bigger bleeds in there and every time is after I feel her pressing on it. I got that feeling once during an u/s and when I told the tech what it felt like, she laughed and showed me that the baby was kicking the placenta in the exact stop the hematoma was under. Other than that, I get (sorry, tmi) bright red stretchy mucus-like blood when I wipe but my pads just show brown spotting. I wish it would completely heal and go away. I basically laid around the first 2 weeks and did absolutely nothing except work. (I work at a bank, so I sit all day anyway.) However, over the last 2 weeks, I have basically resumed my normal activities except any lifting or anything strenuous. My legs are actually sore from wearing pads and I just wish it would go away. My doctor told me to buy a doppler (got it on ebay for $100) and it has been the only reason that I haven't gone crazy. It's so hard to be pregnant and see blood but convince yourself that everything is okay. My ob told me the hematoma is about the size of a nickel and effecting about 2% of the placenta...which is low lying now. Plus, I am being watched for an incompetent cervix as well. It's just like my body doesn't want to work. I had my son when I was 20 & got pregnant on bc.....totally uneventful pregnancy. Now, after 7 years and 6 months ttc.... it just frustrating. ={

Okay, I needed that. Thanks for listening! =}
