He was ready to wean(I thought) and pretty much stopped with no fuss which is the most confusiung thing about why he's asking again all of a sudden. I'd love for him to pick up again once the colostrum comes in or once the baby's here :)
And my nipples aren't as sensitive anymore so I will try the tea!

Its really common for that to happen. And they nurse WAY MORE after the baby is born to.

I love it! Like completely. I have an amazing supply bc of it. And M helped me not be engorged after P was born. I can wake up and have M efficiently nurse when i need it. She has helped me with clogged ducts and breast pain. I dont leak... like at all. She can nurse the foremilk so p doesnt get sick with her reflux

That's awesome :)
Even if he doesn't start back up I'm planning on pumping and giving it to him especially if he's sick or something. I'm going to keep having more babies lol so I will definitely end up tandem bfing at least two or three times, and hopefully have a good milk supply going for the next 10 or so yrs.

Proudly still bf my 19 month old. I feel the same - some days I wish I were done and other days not so much. She's not a great nurser in public so shes limited to only at home in my bed. She doesn't get too much any more since it's dried up a lot but she can be in a foul mood one min and a few seconds even of boobie time and she's ready to take on the world again :) How can I say no to that? Life is hard enough as it is! Tho the whole shirt lifting and yelling for boobie in public is a bit much! :P lol

Yay for 19 months. Ha just wait until your child is 3 and shouts for boobie in public, awesomely embarrassing if you're modest like me!

Ok so I have no idea why the eff my nipples hurt. I got my period so I'm for sure not pregnant. Maybe it's just my period because they do hurt when I'm pmsing. Totally sucky. Anyway, I know it's been discussed a lot but night-weaning? Advice? She'll be 2 on Thursday.

If they're nursing to sleep, start telling them they have to nurse one last time before they go to bed and then not again until the morning.
Repeat, repeat, repeat. Get it into their head. Then nurse them in a chair or on the couch, brush teeth, make sure to reinforce that was their last nursing session of the night and after you brush their teeth they cannot nurse again. Then bring them to bed, read a book or two and tell them you'll lay with them and cuddle for a little while.

Don't give in! If they wake up durng the night just soothe them, tell them they can nurse as soon as they wake up in the morning, and once again don't give in.

Good luck!

Depends. if she is resistant - start with shortening nursing during the night...I'd do a count down so they had warning - so let her nurse 2 mins & then count down 30 to 0 & she'll be "alerted" that you are getting close to done. Then keep shortening the sessions. I also taught him what the digital clock said - so I'd say he couldn't have boo boos until it said 5...and then I told him when the sun came up...you get the idea. Then eventually we nursed before bed & then told the b**b boos goodnight & see you in the morning (he used to even kiss them goodnight). That was Ds #1 - very similar with Ds#2 but he doesn't kiss the booboos. He is 2 1/2 & still nursing & OCCASIONALLY nurses at night, but mostly stuff like last week when he had a stomach bug or the odd bad dream...not even once a week.
