Formula allergy with photos, help!!!! ABC 123 California 1114 posts

So I think my son has a allergy to his current formula, here are pictures of him while he was eating and one about 15 minutes after , I thought at first it was baby acne but it doesnt have any white heads at all just red bumps everywhere and everytime he eats specific spots on his face get red,
I would like to get other moms opinions , I am taking him to the pediatrician on Monday with these pictures because I want them to see what happens to his skin(the doctors here sent my daughter home as a baby saying it was acne but it turned out she had a dairy and soy intolerance as a newborn and had to be put on special formula)
This pictures is during his feeding...

And here is after his feeding, about 15 minutes later....

Thank You.

Im not sure. Korben gets the same way sometimes when he eats... not all the time, only once in a while.

Does this happen everytime your baby eats?

yes , everytime . its worse on his chin, his chin is completely red when he eats. the formula leaks on his chin. but when he is done and i wash his face it clears right up like it never happened.

it looks like a rash i get from drinking wine i'm allergic too. and some kinds of food. the only thing is with food allergies they dont usually just go away 15 minutes after eating. an allergy medicine has to be taken. so maybe its something else? maybe he's getting excited?he's is just adorable

Thanks ladies, he looks just like daddy. He is on Enfamil Gentleease with Lipil, has been for over two weeks. It is strange that it does start to go away 15 minutes or so , but it doesnt flair up when i use baby wipes or baby soap on him just the formula. We increased his food because he was constently acting like he was hungry and my mom thought he need to have his oz increased because the formula we have seems really watery and that it goes right thru him. I am not worried about weight gain, my boy is already over 10 lbs and is only a month old. He was 7 lbs 14 oz at birth. I just worry that this flair up is bothering him.

I am a nurse and this is exactly what my pedi says a food allergy looks like- show those to your pedi and tell him it is only when he eats!! I would change formulas.

This mornings tummy ache was a bad one , it looked as though it was hurting him to poop. I am definitly taking him in to the pediatrician tommorrow . I want him to be happy and not have anymore tummy aches . I will update this post after the doctors tommorrow . Thanks Ladies .

So update:

The doctors said it is Eczema on my sons face and that I should use a little hydracortisone cream . Plus they switched his formula to nutramigin.

I kinda dont believe them so I am keeping an eye on it . Hopefully with this new formula it will go away all together. We are having a rough night, my son is getting use to the nutramigin . Hopefully this formula will help with his diarrhea and his fussiness. Wish us luck.
