Neo Citran during pregnancy? sherbearlove 1 child; Vancouver, British Columbia 31 posts

I woke up this morning with the beginning of a flu/cold...it has now graduated from a minor annoyance to an official pain in the ass. I have the sore throat, congestion, sinus pressure, and lots of sneezing. I would love a nice hot glass of neo citran to try and loosen things up, but does anyone know if this is safe to use during pregnancy?

TIA!

I looked it up and talked to the doctor as well hand they both said there has been no studies done on pregnant women, so he's not sure if it's safe or not but he dosn't recomend using it in case it does harm the baby. Trust me i know it sucks, I got a nasty head cold right now and i have nothing but neocitran to take and now the doc is tellin me no. I know i can take sudafed and benylin DM. and tylenol but tylenol causes liver and kidney problems over time in adults so i can imagine what it would do to a baby who's liver isn't fully developed yet. sticky situation.
