so i made some eggplant chicken parm with pasta
it was so good
but i was on the phone with my mom and told her and she flipped her script on me telling me im crazy for eating eggplant that its dangerous for the baby..



please tell me that she is wrong?
cause im a nervous wreck right now

Why would eggplant be bad? Maybe your mom is justfollowing some crazy old wive's tale?

No.. it's not bad... It's one of the "it might put you into labor" deals... I don't think it's ever worked for anyone haha

here... this site RECOMMENDS eggplant for preggos... and I can't find anything saying it's bad... you're safe. :D

I've heard that eggplant is a natural inducer of labor. But everyone that I know whose tried it nothing happened. I think that might be just an old wives tale.

eggplant parm is anothe wivestale remedy to put you in labor. it's really good for you though.

i swear you girls just relieved me...
thats all i was finding on google was its a labor inducer nothing about danger to the baby...
i only had it today for the first time in my pregnancy i was craving it...



i dont think it will induce labor.. it probably has to be cooked a certain way



my mom is a nutjob .. im call her back and laugh at her...

There is actually some chemical in the eggplant peeling that can cause labor to start but like with most things to naturally induce, it wouldn't work anyway, unless your baby was ready. I love eggplant and eat it quite often.
