I am having alot of vaginal pressure and Im 23 weeks. Im not having any pain, contractions, cramps, leaking any fluid or bleeding. I just feel like this child is about to bust out of my vagina.
This is my 5th pregnancy and I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not? What do you all think?
I have 2 boys and am pregnant w/ number 3 right now but only about 13 wks or so. Are you having "vaginal" pressure or "pelvic" pressure? I had 2 big boys (Aidan was 10.1 pounds and Timothy was 9.9 pounds). I experienced a lot of pelvic pressure with them and kinda felt like my pelvis was coming apart. I have not had the same OBGYN for my pregnancies b/c we have moved around (Aidan was born in New Orleans, LA; Timothy in Kingsport, TN and baby #3 will be born in Elkhart, IN). My point in telling you that is that different doctors have different opinions. I complained a lot during the first pregnancy w/ the pressure pain and they just said that was part of being pregnant. Your pelvis begins to separate to prepare for babies birth. If you aren't having any cramping, pain, bleeding or anything that there is an obvious problem, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Rest, put your feet up, drink lots of fluid, that sort of thing. If you're in pain, you should contact your doctor, especially if you've had problems w/ pre-term labor w/ your other pregnancies. I'm not a doctor or a nurse, so I can't give you exact advice, just from one mom to another, this is what I'm thinking. I hope you feel better.

I have alot of presure in that area too. The doc asked me if they are contractions when I brought it up but I told her I don't know what contractions feel like! I am new to all of this! But she explained contractions and no, I think it's just lots of pressure, same as you I feel like he's just going to fall out any minute!!

I hear ya, I don't think anyone who's pregnant can say that they don't have those worries somewhere in the back of their minds.
The doctor didn't seem concerned about it at all so, I am thinking it must be pretty normal. He is kicking around in there just fine so I know he's okay.
I think it is probably normal. The baby puts a lot of pressure on that area of your body. That's often why pregnant women get hemorroids. I felt "soreness" in the same areas. Do you tend to have large babies?? My son Aidan was just over 10 pounds and my son Timothy was close to 10 pounds. The size of the baby could make the difference in how much pressure you feel too.
Mine werent large....they ranged from 5-14 to 7-11......Ive just had alot of them :)
