Hey guys! I was just wondering, when did you first feel your little bundle of joy kicking you in the ribs??
A week ago, when i was at the hopsital for a fall down the stairs, my baby apparently wanted to tell me to stop worrying about him/her even though they said he/she was fine, that he/she actually kicked me in the ribs for the first time ever as I was sitting up in the hospital bed. So that was very sweet, as if to say "Quit worrying about me momma, Im just fine! :D"
I was 28 weeks when I felt my little one kick me, and I didnt think you could feel that so soon, I thought you had to at least be 35 weeks or more to feel it.
And when I was on the couch today, laying back, I cant remember if I was on my side or my back, but my little one kicked me so hard in the ribs I gasped, LOL, My husband was like "Whats wrong??" and I told him the baby just kicked me REALLY hard, and it actually hurt horribly, HAHA, but its such a blessing to even feel it, so i dont care how much my little one beats me up!
SO, when did you feel your baby kick you in the ribs the first time?? It seems I feel it most right now if im sitting up and with my back a bit hunched (thats just how i sit, lol, I try to straighten up, but im lazy), but i felt it while i was laying down today, so the lil one must be growing.
So, did it hurt for you to?? or am I just being a baby? lol
I felt my son kicking around 18-19 weeks, and yes it did hurt because he broke 2 of my ribs.
I felt my baby girl kick me in the ribs at 27 weeks... and about 2 times since then. Very rare. And yes, it kinda hurt. It was more startling than anything, though.
Yikes, he BROKE your ribs?? thats crazy!! Poor thing!
My second daughter I think was stuck in my ribs because thats the only place she kicked. My first one just made it look like there was an alien in my tummy.
i just felt my baby hitting my ribs today and I'm 22 weeks. It hurts hella bad.
Im not 100% sure I have felt her kick my ribs..and I am 37 weeks..lol
my little guy doesnt kick but he seems to like to wedge his foot underneath my ribs, mostly on the right side. I think I would almost rather have a kick here and there to my ribs rather then him stuck up there. It makes it very uncomfortable most of the time to sit up
Man It really does feel like this terrible pain that wont go away. I tried a technique by accident and it worked. I had a really cold water bottle and I rested on my rib for a second and his foot fluttered away from my ribs. I moved the bottle and was alarmed. I know at this point they can detect temp change so I didn't want to cool done his den. I told my ob about it and he thought it was funny. As long as you don't leave a cold item for a long time and just do it periodically it wont harm the baby. But it does feel good to put something cold on sore ribs even after that jabby foot is away. After he's out I want x-rays lol.
