Hungry baby, acid reflux and carrots... keylimepie 1 child; Massachusetts 3527 posts

Couple of questions here...so I'm combining them into one post.

My 6 month old is all of a sudden hungry, hungry, hungry! She eats 2 Tbs of cereal mixed with formula or yogurt and a full jar of baby fruit or veggie three times a day plus her bottles (she has gone back to taking all of her bottles - she wasn't interested in some of them for a little while there). Growth spurt? Just getting bigger? Just curious...

Also, someone had asked, I think it was Damian and Marlee, if the AR mommies had noticed an incerase in spitup with carrots. I looked for the original post, but couldn't find it. I wasn't sure, but I have been observing....yes I do notice there is more spitup with carrots. Whoda thunk. She ate a full jar of carrots at lunch yesterday (she loves them)but was spitting up orange all afternoon and into the early evening. Any other foods seem to flare up the reflux for the AR mommies? I have heard applesauce, but that doesn't seem to bother my little one. Bananas and peas seem to agree with her most.

I thought maybe I just noticed it more because it had the orange color, but the day she ate a lot of carrots, lots of spit up. So now, we do carrots 1/2 jar only at a feedingand have a little something else too if she's hungry, like some fruit for dessert.
