I am worried I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks- the week before I had done my hcg levels-it was at 6,400-so the doctor did the u/s. He saw a gestational sac but no baby or heart beat. He took more blood my levels were-41,700. I go in for an ultrasound again this week. I am really nervous, should I be worried??

Did your doctor give you a reason to worry? If not, chill out!
All they look for that early IS the sac. There is no actual fetus/baby at that stage, so there would be no heartbeat at all!

My STory goes like this My LMP was Dec 7th 09 . I tested every 2 weeks and I didnt get a positive test until March 2nd. Well I went to the doc and they edd was set to Sept.13th only b/c of when I told them my lmp was. I went to my ob monday and they did and u/s thinking that I was around 17 weeks, and all we saw was a sac no yolk no baby. The sac measures 6 weeks, Well she was pretty blunt and said prepare your self for some cramping and bleeding, for a miscarriage. I didnt get any good news with it. just that. Well they scheduled me for blood work and I go back monday for more blood work and another u/s they just told me they will keep bringing me back every week. I didnt get any positive news because they said at 6 weeks there should have been a baby there. I have been looking up stories on here about empty sacs and seeing that some have came out with a positive ending. I feel like I just need a little positivity to hold on to. I was thinking I dont even know when I ovulated, and when I tested I could have been like a day pregnant or something, and maybe the sacis justmeasuring big or the baby has not formed or is too little to see,. They did the vaginal u/s. So she said she should have atleast seen something the size of agrainof rice,.I have beens on pens, needlesand prayers. sorry its so long

Nope, chill out. :) The same thing happened to me and my little bean is perfectly fine! I'm 11 and a half weeks now. Nine days after an ultrasound showing nothing.. no yolk sac, no baby, no nothing, just a tiny speck of a gestational sac, we saw the baby with a heartbeat!

Hi Everyone - I have already had one non-viable pregnancy 2 & a half years ago...now I am 5 weeks pregnant again...1st ultrasound is not until March 8th, Doctors do not seem worried that I have already had one non-viable....However they did say that if this pregnancy is non-viable then that would be a concern....

What I am asking all of you is does anyone know of ANYONE who has had a non-viable pregnancy & then had a succesful pregnancy ? Please share your stories, I would appreciate any help & support you can offer.

Thank You. God bless you & your families. xox.
