Hey, Im really sorry if this is a stupid question, i have never gone through labor so i have no idea what to really expect! My question is...if your "cramping" as though your coming on a period, a contraction? Or is a contraction where your stomach gets tight aswell as cramping?. Im actually confusing myself because im having cramps but i dont know whether to time them as i dont knwo if they are really contractions...please help :D thanks xxxx
i've had contractions and they didn't feel like cramping.
but this week i went in to the hospital cause i was cramping really bad and it turned out they were showing up as contractions on the monitor. so i guess it's either one.
wow i wanna know this too ''watching''...........
i was told that you can feel your stomache physically tighten with a contraction.. as oppose to cramping where there isn't much change.
Quoting VIA! is having a girl:
i've heard contractions can feel like cramping, gas pains, and like your being stabbed from the inside i guess it all depends, but i get lots of pains too and i read that real contractions will be 30-70 seconds in length and pretty consecutive as far as timing goes, i as well think you do tighten when you contract but just like you i've never been in labor so i don't really know either that's just what i've heard and read...
watching this too.
I don't know what a BH feels like, but I've been getting a rock hard stomach for about 3 weeks now. It tightens up and stays that way for an hour to 2 hours.
Now tonight I've been getting menstrual cramp feeling in the lower half of my stomach. I want to time it, but it just hurts constantly so there's nothing to time.
but i think when its the reallll thing you will feel both... cramping/contractions n lower back pain!. I'm getting the cramping and the lower back pain, but if I'm getting the contractions they just feel like little twinges that don't even make me wince.
My hubby is just PANICKING over it...kinda funny.
