When my son was in that type of carseat I would always put the bar down when in the car. I agree too w/ not allowing them have a bottle in the car while I'm the only one in the car because of anything that could happen. (I know I am a bit of a worrier but I'm a 1st time Mom...I'm supposed to be. lol) I wouldn't exactly say that these little contraptions for baby to have a bottle on their own before they can hold the bottle are used by "lazy" Moms but I always considered feeding time (from the bottle) a great bonding moment for my son & I. No matter what I was doing I would gladly stop & cradle him in my arms to give him his bottle & I just loved those moments we shared together. He's almost onenow & been holding his bottle by himself since he was 7mo. old but I still love to hold him while he feeds himself w/ it. In fact, his bedtime bottle which is at around 7:50pm (his bedtime is 8pm), I never stopped craddling him in my arms for that bottle. Ever since he was born I've always held him for that last bottle of the night. It's going to be very hard on me when he turns one & we stop the formula & start milk because he won't be getting bottles anymore. I'm really going to miss those close, bonding moments we shared every night before his bedtime while he drank his "Ba-Ba".

Not to be a downer, but especially in the USA you have to be careful when making things for babies/animals and selling them. You need insurance, just in case something falls or breaks off your invention and a baby chokes, you can be sued. God forbid anything bad would happen, but it can and you would be held responsible! Just something to look into should you make it a business. Id be carefull who gets your promo stuff :)

I had said before that I always put the handle down when in the car when my son was using that type of carseat.....it was just something I always did. I guess I felt better w/ it down....also, I sometimes had a hard time seeing him in the mirror that I had on the back seat when the bar was up.
