Hi ladies :) Ok, i've always been the type to flush or get hot faced easily. But i've been alright and not overheated during this pregnancy for the most part. But a couple weeks ago i started getting a really red flushed face (almost feeling a bit feverish) every single day. Now, starting in the afternoon i'll get a bit red and hot in the face and its gets worst as the evening progresses. It doesn't get really bad or anything but its so weird and uncomfy. Anyone else? I would have posted a pic but my comp wont upload pics right now :( I'M SOOO RED:shock: LOL

You may want to have your blood pressure checked. Any other symptoms?? Like abnormal pain, swelling, etc?

The only time I felt like I had the onset of a fever (I was flushed and felt warm.. it wasn't bad, just enough to feel a little weird) was when I had the onset of a kidney infection. I also had severe middle-back pain, though, too. Have you taken your temp to see if you really are running a fever??

could be a kidney infection or your BP is high!

It could be hot flashes if you do not have temp.
Hot flashes are felt in the face chest neck and sometimes arms they can last 20 min to 1 hr and happen frequently .
I started having hot flashes a week ago and asked my doctor .

My face is always flushed and really rosy. Occassionally it will feel like its really hot, but not to the touch. I asked my doc about it last time I went it and he said its fine and my BP is always around 100/60 mark so if yours stays low too I think its all good.

I've gotten hot flashes the past two mornings, and worst of all, it's been right before work, so it's not like I can strip down to cool off!

Its not a fever, took my temp...its not hot flashes because i'm not hot all over...its not high BP because i just had it checked. I have no pain or other discomfort along with it...my face just gets really hot and red. My mom says she had that when she was pregnant with me, in the evenings too. I googled it and it happens to some women because of the increased blood volume and all that. I'm not worried, i just wanted to know if anyone else had this symptom :)

The same thing was happening to me,.. I dont know if this is the problem or not, but I was having a reaction. Your skin is more sensitive when youre pregnant andif you blush easily anyway (like me) you probably already had sensitive skin to begin with. So if you've done anything different to your face that could be the culprit. I used an exfoliant that I had always used before, so I didnt think anything of it. My skin was red and hot,.. I posted a thread about it too,... but then it clicked and I figured out the problem. I used some hydrocortisone and my face went back to normal in a few days.
