I hate not being prepared, hell it's killing me that I don't know if the baby is a boy or girl yet.
I want to go out and buy a bunch of stuff already and get the house ready for a baby...but I'm told to wait until after I have a baby shower. Which makes sense, wait to see what you get before going out and spending tons of money.
But I'm so impatient and I want to start planning and preparing as soon as I know the sex (which should be next month.)
How early do you think is okay to have a baby shower? I will be 5 months when I find out the sex... do you think 6 months is too early?
Most people have a shower about 2 months beforetheir due date. If your host wants to do it earlier though than there's nothing wrong with that. You can always buy stuff and make a folder for receipts in case you need to return something you bought because you received a duplicate at the shower.
Me and my BF have bought tons of stuff even though everyone keeps telling us to wait until the baby shower. But we're just stocking up on diapers/wipes and buying the big things like the crib and what not.
maybe 7 months?? Im due a day before you!!! When do you find out what your having? were having a BOY!!
lol yeah 6 months is a little early.
I just had mine at 30 weeks which is a little early. My mom said anytime after 30 weeks is safe because there is a higher chance of survival if the baby is born early, so most people consider it more of a viable pregnancy at that point. As horrible as that sounds. I think some people have showers early because of holidays and they live far from family then get it really early for convenience. I mean you can always get some of the big items that you want, or some clothes, can't hurt. I mean I got clothes galore, but I didn't buy like the bigger items, but some people feel bad about asking for expensive presents. I guess it is all how you feel about it.
I was 32 weeks when I had my baby shower, But once I found out it was a girl I was buying clothes and blankets and stuff. I'm pregnant again and I'm only 5 weeks, but I'm going to be buying a crib and other stuff soon. I was also stcking up on diapers and wipes. During your last ten weeks anything can happen and the more you're prepared the better.
