i read in my baby book that after the first few months you can mix the babies formula with regular tap water...i personally think it would be fine becuase we live in an area with some of the cleanest water in the county, and also we plan on having a water purifier on our foucet..what do you ladies think?
i NEVER boiled my baby's water. They actually told me not to. But it's different in every area so ask your pediatrician.
I never boiled my daughter's water. We bought infant nursery water and mixed it in her formula. Super easy.
I just used gallons of drinking water from frys....I dont trust tap water and have NO time to boil it.
I bought distilled water by the gallons (it's only $.75 a jug). But I gave up on doing that when Julia was about 4-5 months. Now she gets plain tap water. She's just fine.
I always thought tap water was bad but they told me it is actually better so the baby can get flouride. [depending on where you live and how good your water is]
I usually just use pre-mixed formula but when i DO have powdered or concentrated, i boil the water. I didn't know so many people don't boil the water...
i never boiled water. i just used nursery water for a couple months.
Gav started on formula at 7 months and I have always used tap... no filter or anything.
I boiled my daughters water until she was a year. I breastfed for the first few months but after that everything was boiled. We have clean tap water but I didn't feel comfortable using it. And my doctor told me not to use bottled water because the fluoride is extremely important for their development. I just bought a huge pitcher and every night I boil the kettle. Then every morning I just pour the boiled water into the pitcher.
ETA: I'll be boiling my son's water until he is 1 as well .
I breastfed but when she was old enough for water I boiled it for a year and a half I think
