Hey, Just wondering? I have been using vaseline on my belly since i found out i was pregnant. I used it because i new it had the least ingrediants and had no chemicals at all in it. Now i hear that it May or May not be safe. I dont see how is could not be safe. Dose anyone else have any info on this??????

i've never heard it's not safe, though Ive never heard anyone putting it on there stomach for stretch marks. I use it for diaper rash and it works great : )

the only way it couldn't be safe is if you smoke, cause it petroleum which is flammable. Other then that i have been using it for years, i like it cause it doesn't have a scent, which i can't do during pregnancy, plus it's real good on the feet.

Well i have always heard it was the best moisturizer you could ever use. My mom never got any stretch marks and she said she used it her whole pregnancy. I have not gotten any stretch marks yet either so im guessing it works.

It could give you peach fuzz where you put it.

vasiline is a petrolium product. It is refined down to where it is "safe". It is not all natural though, so in that aspect it is still a "chemical." No it will not give you more hair. If it would, every bald man in the country would be slathering it on. Vaseline helps to "seal" in moisture after a shower the same way baby oil does. It will work that way. I use plain ol' co co butter and that works great!

I don't know how it works for stretch marks but up until this week I was using cocoa butter like 5 times a day and still got a few but I switched to Vaseline because it's the only thing that keeps me from being itchy. I guess I'll let you know if I get any new stretchmarks lol
