Giovanni was born at 31 weeks. He just turned 4 months on wednesday the 25. So he had his Vaccination shots on wednesday. And he was good wednesday night and thursday mornng. But thursday night and early friday morning he was real fussy and irratitable and having cold sweats.. I thought it was because of his shots on wednesday! So waited for him to get better but he didnt and he just didnt seem himself...So we wnt to his doctor and she wa examining him. And she noticed that he had a INGUINAL HERNIA his righ ttesticle was real swollen and the area right above the groin was also real swollen! It as making him real sick and not wanting to eat..So his pediatrician said you need to go to the emergency room!! so we went he had ultra sound and x rays its a herni!!!! So the doctors comes in and pushe it back in him tummy and like magic mybaby was better...But he is going to need surgery! So what i looked up its a pretty routine surgery..But being a new mommy it just worries me, So if there is any mommies who have gone through this please lt me know
what to expect....Thankyou

I had one in my groin area when I was 6. It was an in and out surgery and everything was very easy! I bet he will come through it just perfect!

my son had it, but he was 20 months old. sugery went well, it's very common. our surgeon said it was the second or third most common surgery among young children.

My son was 29 weeks. He had bilateral inguinal hernias at 2 months and had surgery. It's performed all the time. He'll be fine.
