My daughter will be 6 weeks tomorrow (Wednesday) and all day she's been drooling and sounds rattle-y when she breathes. I've asked the doctor before and they said only come in if she coughs excessively...wtf does that mean?? I know I need to get her in to be seen but I'm just wondering if anybody can tell my what all this drool means because I thought it didn't start until much later

My son started drooling like crazy at7 weeks and it hasn't stopped and he's 4 1/2 months now. Its teething in his case, so maybe thats her problem too.

drooling can be a sign of a ear infection or a sore throat with both they dont want to swallow cause it hurts

I'll call in the morning and they always get us in asap. Right now she's sleeping on Daddy because otherwise she won't sleep and she sounds AWFUL!!! Her breathing is very rattled and congested sounding

My son started drroling at a month old, it ia because there teeth are moving under there gums (teething) although it will probably be a good 4-6 months before she starts cutting them. I used teething tablets for my son they worked great. Good luck
