Ok so am I tripping or is it normal for your hands and feet to hurt this bad during pregnancy?
It just started like a week or so ago, but my hands and feet hurt really bad, like they're really sore or something. I feel like I dont have any strength in my hands like to squeeze or open stuff.
Could this be happening because of swelling? I have noticed that my fingers and toes are looking more swollen these days.

Well just to give a lil background on what my dr said because of all the swelling it's kinda like carpul tunnel(sp?) so those wrist bands you can buy at the drug store really help. I have one for my right hand and once I put it on the pressure starts to loosen up right away.

Yeah, I had something like that too.
It started when I was 20 weeks and it just started off with numbness on my right hand at night...then gradually went over to my left. The numbness was on and off and went away after I moved it. After aweek or so,the numbness didn't go away..even if I moved it.Then eventually the numbness carried over to daytime and my hands were always numbed. Then finally around..25ish weeks, I got pain on one wrist..then the eventually the other. The pain was so bad I couldn't dress myself, put my hair up, or even take a shower.

The pain got so bad (my fingers SWELLED up like fat sausages) so I went to get it checked out and because my blood pressue is fantastic (it's always been on the low side), they can't do anything about it. All they said was that it's due to water retention.
My doctor also says it's "normal" and he kind of brushed it off. The only thing he told me to do is that Tyenol or vitamin B6 might help.
I went to a regular, family-type doctor on base here and he actually started bending my wrists and whatnot and he said that I actually DIDN'T have carpal tunnel, but rather, I have tendonaitis on both of my wrist. Again, it'sdue to fluid retention. They recommend ice or wrist splint.. but neither worked for me. I still have pain (especially when I played the WII... it gets bad after I play for a while), but I just to sort of live with it since I can't find anything that helps.
