Don't wait, keep peeing. :D

And I absolutely hate pregnant sex. I obligingly put out every week, but it just hurts so I don't like it.

Probably not until mid April. I'm confused though because I found other nub shots that are getting mostly girl votes that angle up way more than mine. Or nobody can figure out what it is one way or the other. The best explanation I got for mixed answers is because baby's back is arched (it's perfectly straight but is arching some in the middle) it makes the nub point upward more than if baby is in a neutral position. I have no idea, but it makes me feel so hopeless and defeated that I'll never get what I want, that prayers don't work, etc. And the weird thing about my nub, it's not straight and pointing up, it's making a U shape on the end. Since when are nubs curved? I can't find any other nub shots that have that appearance. I want to beat my head against a wall!

I think the nub theory was making me crazy haha since you could look at 2 pics that looked so much alike and the same people would post a difference response for each one! It was nuts! Either they were messing with the people or they honestly didnt have any idea whatsoever and just wanted to guess.
I spend a good 2 weeks everyday looking at nub shots and trying to find good 3d ones since thats all I have finally I decided the baby is going to be what it will be no matter what I guess or think. It's hard though because I would love to know right now too, one of my friends from highschool is expecting her 3rd child due 3 days before me and goes to the same group of doctors and gets her anotomy scan today! I had an appt yesterday and they just did the heartbeat and that was it. My next scan is March 26th so only 13 days and that's if baby is willing to show. I just want to be able to say he or she/him or her instead of IT AND THE BABY all the time. Plus my boys are so excited to find out they all would love another little sister but Im sure they will be excited either way. We are going to get some colored balloons to share the news with them! They will love opening the box, finding out and than have a balloon to play with! haha =0)
How much was the gender scan elective one you did? Maybe you could do that again?!?!

With a coupon I paid $100. Otherwise the "weekday special" is $165. They won't do regular 2D gender peaks before 16 weeks and won't guarantee it until 17. I know baby is whatever, but my emotions are all over the place this whole pregnancy, I've been super sick, intense symptoms, and having horrible anxiety attacks that come on at random. I think I just want to get it over with to know if I have one more thing to be upset about or not. To top it off, right after a bunch of people posted that my nub was a boy I cried and then had a bad dream where a whole bunch of people gathered around me laughing and chanting boy and saying I'd never have any girls. It's just ridiculous how upset it made me that I'd have that dream.

And after staring at what seems like millions of nubs, I've found a couple that were curved like a U and they were all girls. But in general, I'm mostly convinced nub theory is crap, especially if all you have is a still image to go off. So many nubs that looked like a boy turned out to be girl and vice versa and even the ultrasound techs that are supposed to be so smart get it wrong a lot. I'm sure watching baby in general on the ultrasound gives you a better idea than an image though. I've decided Ramzi is crap too. I've had two Ramzi opposites and know several that have too. The ultrasound tech at my perinatology office said she's noticed that Ramzi wrong nearly as often as it is right with their patients. She also said nubs are pretty unreliable because not many are the "perfect" example for angles and they are tricky considering girls have been measured to have nub angles up to 20 degrees into the 14th week while boys are 30 degrees or higher, and apparently both sexes get erections in utero which affect nub shape and angle too. They told me the most reliable noninvasive way to determine gender early is with the hormone levels on first trimester screen (my new obsession) because if it fits the criteria in both hormone categories and or NT measurement accuracy is high (lots of babies don't fit all the criteria to guess from). Basically though, if your MoM from the free beta hCG and PAPP-A are higher than around 1.2 MoM you have a higher chance of having a girl with the higher the numbers making the odds better, assuming baby doesn't have a defect. The other part if that is if the NT measurement is less than .8 MoM (the result is typically listed as a delta, but basically meaning the same thing) your odds are also much higher for a girl. All three of my results are firmly in the girl range and my boys were not (only had the hormones levels on them and I did call to get the MoM from theirs this week). I have seen these be wrong as well, but the most obvious one that was off I can remember the PAPP-A was high, HCG was higher and into the low end of girl territory, but NT was thicker and into the bottom of the boy range. Baby was a boy. I have seen several examples of it being wrong with girls having boy hormone ranges though. I'm holding out hope from this study for me because it's been completely right for me twice in a row. LOL

RJ (firmly in the boy range)
HCG: .61 MoM (34th percentile)
PAPP-A: .68 MoM (37th percentile)

Brighton (borderline, slight lean boy)
HCG: .93 MoM (48th percentile)
PAPP-A: 1.04 MoM (51st percentile)

Peanut (firmly girl range, sex undetermined as of yet)
HCG: 2.42 MoM (95th percentile)
PAPP-A: 4.47 MoM (99th percentile)
NT: 1.1 mm, -.43 delta (25th percentile)
