Baby kicking the cervix Sal4kids 4 kids; United States 435 posts

I have a question. I recently started feeling my baby moving. No kicking or pocking yet, just pushing and rolling. Any way a few people have said to me"Just wait till the baby kicks your cervix" I was wondering.... how exactly do you know the baby is kicking your cervix? what does it feel like? To be honest I'm not exactly sure where my cervix is. I mean I know where it is, I've seen the diagrams and have been to the OBGYN, but I'm not aware of it. Like I would know the feeling of someone touching my hand, or something but how can you know when something is on your cerivix? This might sound dumb but I'm just confused.

I think that you will know when it happens. Its just a different feeling. The first time it happened it kind of schocked me. I wasn't prepared for it.

Weird. I read this two seconds after flinching from my LO kicking my cervix.

Sometimes it feels like a really sharp pain, it just kind of sends you into a moment of shock. I really can't stand the feeling

I'm 3 days short of being a full 12 weeks pregnant with my second child and I swear I can feel the baby moving just the last couple of days. I have been feeling a lot of pressure in my abdomin or a really full feeling the last week and a couple nights ago when I was lying in bed I swear I could feel something pushing out and then today when I was at work I was just sitting at my desk when all of a sudden I felt a very distinguishable push hard out of my abdomin. I can't believe I can feel the baby aleady this time, last time it took probably around 16-20 weeks but I was standing the hold time being a cashier at the time and don't think it was as noticable. I think the feeling is pretty hard to desribe, it is kind of like the beginning pressure ofa gas cramp or bubble at the same time as a butterfly. I had a feeling with my daughter that I knew I was having one baby and had a feeling she would be a girl but this time I'm leaning towards a boy and I don't feel like twins would be completely out of the question and runs in the family. I have an ultrasound on Monday...so excited.
