Can you still feel the baby moving after your water breaks? Shannon 18 kids; Ohio 9773 posts

History: I prom'd w/ my daughter (prior pregnancy) and it was discovered at 18 weeks. I have no idea when my water actually broke because I didn't have a gush or any leaking that I noticed. I made it to 19w, 2d before I delivered and I never really felt her moving.

Now: I'm 18w, 3d pregnant again and super paranoid due to being the same gestation in this pregnancy that I lost my daughter at. I have these pads that detect amnio fluid leakage and I have one on now. If the strip turns blue, then it's detecting fluid. Urine and cm will not change the color of the strip in the pad. THE PADS SPECIFICALLY SAY TO WAIT 12 HOURS AFTER SEX TO USE, but I've had one on all day. We had sex at noon and I noticed that the strip in my pad is covered w/ blue. I'm assuming that it's just semen and the pH will change the color of the strip (hence the warning on the box). I'm also feeling the baby move plenty as well.

I don't think the baby can really move when there is no fluid but does anyone know? I'm sure it's different at 18w vs full term due to the size of the baby. (When you are full term, you can feel almost every movement the baby has vs. only a few when you're 18 weeks.)

Any thoughts?

Yeah. And it hurts a lot more. They have to move to get lower so they can come out.

Hm... I couldnt feel my son moving after they broke my water.. All I could feel was severe pain because it was like there was no more cushioning for him and yeah ow.. But be careful because my water was trickling out and I had assumed it but wasnt sure and when I went to the dr. the next day, it was my water and I had to be induced. But I was 38 weeks, also. good luck! I hope its not your water!! I'm sure you're just over-thinking because of what happened before

It's been almost 12 hours, so I just changed the pad and I'm drinking a ton of water so I guess I'll see what happens after an hour or so. If it's still blue then I'll text my OB and see what she thinks.

I'm trying so hard to not be a psycho worry freak.
