Sharp pains in cervix at 36 weeks?? Mommy Van D TTC since Sep 2014; 2 kids; 4 angel babies; Ontario 4119 posts

I'm 36 weeks with my first and i'm having really sharp pains in my cervix...anyone know what this could be? I've been having them the last few weeks, but they've been sharper and more frequent the last few days. When ever I walk, sit, stand, squat, bend or she moves it freaking hurts! I have to lay on my side a lot so it will go away, but as soon as I sit up and the weight's back on my cervix it starts up again. My OB didn't check me for dilation last visit so I'm not sure if that could be it... I remember getting the same sharp pains there when I miscarried. Anyone else feeling this?

It's probably just baby moving/pushing/touching the cervix. I experience it too.

*phew*

I was getting nervous that maybe she was going to come early. My mom isn't doing my shower until next sunday, i'll be 37 w 4 d and i'm on edge that she will debut before then. I want her to bake in thereat least until 38 weeks.

I asked my doc about these last week and she said the same as everyone else... positioning of the baby.

I know what you mean I cant even put my pants on by myself cuz the pain is so bad when I lift my legs.... Not to mention having to get up at least 6 times a night to pee is getting hard to do cuz it hurts so bad to get out of bed.
