my 3 week old has a white coating on her tongue. im pretty confident its not thrush (no itchy/red nipples, no white patches in her mouth). i poked around on the la leche league site and am guessing she has a milk stained tongue, harmless, but new to me. has anyone had this happen in their newborn?

Yup, his tongue is usually white :) It's definitely a milk stain :)

if you can wipe it away and see some pink its just from the milk if its super thick and clumpy its more than likely thrush.;)
