My dd is 35 inches tall. So that is almost 3 feet. I figure (from googling) that is tall for her age.
then I went to this playgroup thingy and these two women who are nannies of these two little kids who are 2 months older than my DD, said "oh your daughter is short. "
I said "she isn't. .she is in ht 95% in height"
"no, she is just short."
did they know how old she was?
If she is in the 95% than she is tall.
My son has always been in the 90-95 percentile for height, he is 14 months and 30 inches tall.
Just let it roll off your back, they are just nannies not doctors haha.
If she is in the 95th percentile than she obviously isn't short. Evan is 11 months and he is 31 inches-but he has been in the upper ninties since birth.
 Ignore the nannies, they're just being rude.
My son was 35 1/2 inches at his 2 yr appointment and that put him OFF the chart (although they still consider it the 95% because theres nothing higher) So if he was considered tall then she is definately tall, because the girls growth chart runs smaller then the boys.
35 inches is about 90th percentile, so she's not short. SHe's above average.
My daughter isnt even 19 months yet, and she was 35 in. at her 18 month appt:shock:
My 4 month old is 29 I think
My son just turned 14months today & at his last apt he was 36inches lol.
well, my 3 year old is 39 inches and 95%. if your child is 21 months, i'd say she's pretty tall.
Quoting viva la maja;* [TBT]:“ My 14month old is 36inches lol.”
Boys height/weight is different.BUUUT your son is still off the charts. haha
And Rachel, I looked at it wrong. Your daughter is actually above the charts.
Here are two charts if anone wants to look.
Quoting viva la maja;* [TBT]:“ Yeah, the PEDI Said he def will be a TALL one. But My husband is a HEAD taller than me. I'm 5'3-5'4”
That's not too tall. Average is 5'11. A head taller would be like what, 5'8 or 9?
And their height right now isn't going to determine anything. My son had been in the 90th percentile or more until about a year old. Then he slowed down. Now he's in the 50th
