Thanks ladies! My soldier is now safe in my arms. The kids were in night care and seeing their daddy pick them up made their night. Just wish we didn't stay up so late. Again, thanks!

Can I ask a n00b-ish question? :oops::lol:

We've always, always lived off post.. and we've finally been offered a house on post, so we're planning on taking it.

We won't be able to sign for it until 28 FEB and they're requiring a prorated amount of $103.20 for the rest of FEB and then of course our $300 pet deposit. My question is when will his BAH actually stop coming out of his checks and just be in the allotment for the house?

He's saying APR will be the first check without the BAH, which makes sense to me since that would be the first check for 1-30 MAR. Does that sound right to you ladies?

We're going to be double renting for a couple months and I'm trying to figure out a budget to work around for those months..

we moved here oct 5 (paid the prorate amount), then we got the next month of BAH, then they started taking it out of his check on Nov. 15 I believe it was.

I'm confused. The paycheck for 15 NOV would be for 1-31st of October, right? So, did you pay the pro-rate of the entire month of OCT? or just through the 15th? And did you lose all of your BAH for that month or only half?

Quoting J+D=4:" paid the whole month out of pocket on the 5th, his oct 15 check was still the same as before, his nov 1 check was the same, and then on Nov 15 they started taking BAH out"

Okay, so ours should (hopefully) be 1 APR then!

Thank you. :)

My sons daily medicine spilled all over my medicine bag during our road trip to my moms for the holidays, it was brand new and supposed to last all month. I know if I call his doctor he will fax in a refill for me I just hope it's not too expensive. I know my thyroid meds are only $6 a month so we will see.
