High Lipase Question Letha ❥ Ally+1more 2 kids; Florida 23669 posts

After some searching today, I figured out that my breast milk is high in lipase. The LO hasn't refused the expressed milk I offer her (I EP) as of yet, but it does sometimes smell soapy. She mostly receives fresh milk and I have recently started scalding it soon after it's pumped. My concern is that the huge store of BM in the freezer is wasted. since the enzyme stays active even after freezing. Has anyone else experience this problem? Has your LO refused thawed milk? Can I still scald it after it's thawed to make it taste better?
Anyone?

How old is your baby? My Breast milk was the same way the first 2 months. I ended up throwing all my BM away that was stored in the freezer but I am sure my son would have eaten it anyways
