Soo I'm gonna be a new mommy& I thought I'd ask the mommies who've had their kiddos "what items should you put on you baby registry list?" Also any "items not to put on your registry?" I dont wantmy friends & familyto buy me things i'll never use & waste their money!

I haven't had my baby, but I'm done with my showers.

Do put a few big things, you never know how generous some people are. I got a play & pack, high chair, bouncy chair, exersaucer, etc.

Don't put tons of clothes.

i put big things on there, for shits and giggles. got his swing out of the deal.
bedding.
burp cloths.
safety stuff.
bath time stuff- towels, cloths, baby tub.
floor play mat, bouncer, exersaucer.

i tried to include things that we might need later, not just infant stuff. i didnt expect any of it but i didnt leave much to the imagination either just in case someone wanted to get something.

dont put any clothes on there. If they are going to buy you clothes they'll buy what they want.

Put things you want on there. Swing, bouncer, bottles, breast pump(if you plan on breastfeeding) crib, baby tub, car seat, stroller.
I also added soaps, lotions, diaper cream and that kind of stuff.

i registered for anything and everything to give people a variety of things to choose from.

blankets
onsies
socks
hooded towels
baby grooming kit (with hairbrush, nailclippers, thermometer ect)
extra sheets
absorbant pads for the crib
bottles
DIAPERS and wipes. If you know the brand you'll be using. i think most hospitals use pampers, the ones here do anyway. and trust me you'll need this more than anything
wipe warmers, are really nice but not necessary
sleepers
any outfits you think are cute, but register for more than one size so you dont get all newborn outfits. cuz you'll never use them all
a boppy pillow, nice even if you're not BF
PANTS!!! I got so many onsies and then only a few pairs of pants.
baby book
lamp that matches your bedding set, i didnt register for this but i wish i had
piggy bank
washcloths, you can never have enough
baby shampoo, lotion, ect
bibs
burprags, i ened up using just really cheap recieving blankets cause they work better than tiny little rags.
baby carrier, sling whatever you wanna call it.

dont be afraid to register for expensive things too, because sometimes people like to all chip in on one big thing. i got a really nice $50 boppy bouncy seat that i registered for but never thought i was gonna get. dont feel like you're asking for too much. just because you register for it doesnt mean people have to buy it. and it helps to avoid repeats.
