My mil watches our son in our home a couple days a week for us well today my husband tells me she called asking where I had put the diaper cream. I have taken to hiding it from her because I would come home and my little boy would literally have damn near a whole tube of it covering his ass. Anyway so she calls and asks him because she said his p***s looked red so she wanted to put it on his p***s. My husband told her the problem is she doesn't change him often enough she lets him wake up from a two hour nap and then lets him sit in a pissy diaper for another hour or so. Well she got flustered and said that was not why. So my husband told her he did not know where it was. Well tonight I am giving my son a bath and he has all this white, thick diaper cream looking shit all over the head of his p***s. Now he gets bathed everyday so I know it isn't built up scum. Isn't it dangerous or at the very least not necessary to diaper cream a boys junk?

the skin on his p***s can get a rash just like the skin on his butt. use baby powder if it worries you to have cream all over him.

I've never heard of it being dangerous. Definitely not necessary, but I don't think it will hurt. If his p***s looks irritated, tell her to use an ointment, like A&D on it instead.

If there is a rash on it you can use it, so it's not going to hurt

However, the rash will not leave if his diaper is not changed more

Yeah the thing is he has zero rash. This lady is a bit on the crazy side. She is one of those weirdos that has to find something wrong even if it is minor so she can make the biggest fuss about it. We are hoping so hard when they restructure my office in January my job will be eliminated so I can stay home for a while.

It's not the big of a deal. Powder would probably be better, but it won't hurt him

Sometimes my son got really bright red irritation looking spots on his p***s, like underneath it, I'm not sure why... it was like diaper rash, just sporadic. We always put desitin on it, it's not a big deal.We switch between types of creams so there is no 'resistance' built up because sometimes it seems less effective when used a lot. But we never use powder, what a mess and the inhalation factor, ehh.
