Putting Zantac into a bottle? Booger's Mommy [EBFB] 17 kids; Ohio 3665 posts

My LO has terrible acid reflux so his Pedi put him on Zantac but the problem is he hates it so much he refuses to swallow it. I was wondering if you ladies think it would be okay to put maybe an oz or two and then mix it together to see if it helps him. My pedi gave me her number to call if I ever need anything but I hate to call her at 10:00 at night.

Bummer that he hates it. My LO has to take it, he gets 3 mL's a day.

How do you administer it? Ina syringe? I would think it'd be okay to add it to formula or bm, but only a very small amount to ensure that he takes the full dose.

my daughter was on it ( she is on prevacid now bczantac wasnt working). As long as your baby drinks the whole bottle it will be fine.

I know this sounds mean but after you put it in their mouth you can blow in their face real quick and they will swallow. :( But if it can be put in their bottle that is better. We used to fight my daughter on her zyrtec until we figured out it could go in her bottle.

Thank you ladies so very much!

He hasn't ate in about four hours and I only need to give him 1 ML so I think if I pump just one oz and mix it he will take it.. I hope.

when dax was on zantac, the pedi told us to mix some formula, however much we thought he would completly consume and add the zantac to that.

My son had severe ar and he would willingly take it, but my pedi told me it could be mixed with 1 oz of formula. Luckily my son his 10 months and has completely outgrown his reflux.
