Im looking for anyone else that has had a full term pregnancy that has ended in a stillbirth. My son Tyler was due August 3rd. I went in for a check up on Tuesday and they said that eveything was fine and that I was 2-3 cm dialated. I went into labor late Friday night and Saturday morning ( August 1st) my husband and I went to the hospital expecting a somewhat painful but normal delivery. We were admitted shortly before 8 am and by 0820 am the head doctor came in with an ultrasound machine and confirmed that Tylers heart was not beating. The doctor stated that as far as he could guess Tylers heart had stopped sometime within the past day or so prior to us going to the hospital. I was 39 weeks and 4 days. Tyler wasdelivered stillbornSaturday, August 1st at 747 pm weighing 7 lbs and 15 ounces. We have had so many different tests done, and all have come back clear. There is no rhyme or reason as to what happened and my doctor cannot give us any insight. I am looking for other parents who have experienced this type of situation: full-term pregnancy leading to a stillbirth with no justification.

A girl I know personally lost a baby that was born somewhere around 38 weeks. She was seeing the same doctor as I was but our doctor was on vacation when her water broke & she went into labor. They saw the baby's heart rate going up & down... Found out the cord was wrapped around his neck. You would think right away with those problems they would perform a c-section... NO! Knowing the baby's heart rate was going up & down the doctor on call, (who I think is a complete b***h & should not deliver babies) decides to go on with giving her an epidural & having her dilate to 10. The baby's heart beat eventually goes down & does not come back up & is completely gone... She still makes her push for 2 hours. Baby was born still. I still cry when I look at her myspace. Her son could be alive today but that doctor chose poorly on what to do. Needless to say, I'm more than positive the doctor has a lawsuit against her.
I'm so sorry mama. :( My thoughts are with you and your family.
