My last appointment my doctor said it looked like I had a gum disease because they were so red. Well since I found out I was pregnant until a couple weeks ago I threw up NON-STOP. It was hard for me to brush my teeth, one because it hurt and two because I couldn't even open my eyes without hurling everywhere. Even as a kid I never brushed on the regular basis. My mom never pushed me (don't ask me why). I don't even remember the last time I went and saw a dentist.

Anyways, the bottom row of my teeth look like their beginning to rot. They hurt and bleed all the time and my gums are coming loose. I know, disgusting. I heard that most dentists won't do any work on pregnant women so what should I do? I brush them now after every meal and started flossing and using mouth wash but it doesn't seem to help any. I also drinks TONS of milk hoping that will strengthen them. I'm only 18 years old and don't want to be a toothless mommy. HELP!

Go to the dentist, they can do something I'm sure. It will be way better than being miserable! I also read somewhere that having gum disease during pregnancy could be linked to preterm labor. :(
