Long sorry.

My son woke up acting weird today. He just wanted to snuggle in this morning.. when usually he isin the "go go go" attitude.
Well, lunch comes along and I make him his favorite lunch... he only took 2 bites. I didnt think much of it.. thought maybe he was just having another picky eating phase kick in.
Well, we go to my parents (we go every sunday for dinner with the family.)
Well my brother took him out on the dirtbike and he was acting really clingy the whole time. When he came inside he just wanted to be held. Soi sat on the couch with him and when i picked him up he said "ouch mama". Strange..
So we lay on the couch and i touch his arm and he says "ouch mama"again. Mind you he doesnt have any injuries.
Well, I kiss his forehead and notice he feels super hot. so i take his temp under his arm and it was 101.F. YIKES!
So i tell my brother to sit with Mak and I take Cade down to the store to get some Motrin and gatoraide. (its just down the road.) I carried him into the store (usually he wants to walk and help Mama out with everything.) But he was clung right on to me. So we get everything, get home and get him some Motrin. About an hour later his fever goes down and I get him to eat some toast with jam and drink some gatoraide.
I call the pedi and she says that theres a flu going around, to just keep him hydrated and keep his temp down.
Well we just got home a bit ago and I take him into the bathroom to brush his teeth and I notice he has sores around his mouth. Looks almost like burns, and he is so whiney and lethargic. Now i am concerned... I have never seen sores around a childs mouth just randomly pop up like that. I thought maybe the fever could cause it but I have been keeping it down.. it hasnt gotten over 101.
What is this? I tried texting the pedi.. no reply yet.

probably just fever blisters, if thats what it is make sure he doesnt kiss mak on the mouth, I have heard something not sure if its true or not but if an infant catches fever blisters it could be deadly... like I said not sure if its true!

Could be fever blisters, but I agree just go ahead and take him to ER or first thing in morning take him in to the Pedi. I hope he feels better real soon.

If its on the inside of his mouth it could just be canker sores. Some kids chew on their cheeks when they dont feel good.
