At what age did you buy a toddler bed for your LO?

My son recently turned 2 years old and we are still co-sleeping. I think he is ready for his own bed now and I wanted to hear some feedback from those mama's who have already been down this route. What toddler bed would you recommend? Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

i got my sons toddler bed when he was 18 months..he's 22 months now and still hasnt slept the night on it. We put it in our room so he could start getting used to just laying on it. but all he does is drink his milk on it and then climbs on ours.

One night i just let him fall asleep w. me ,and then put him on his bed. he slept until 7am on it but when he realized it,he got back up on ours.

She was almost 16 months. She always co-slept but now prefers her bed she still wakes up in the middle of the night to sleep with us, but its much better now.

My daughter went into her toddler bed at 17 months...when we started TTC!

However, she loved her crib and we never co-slept so it was eaiser to get her in a toddler bed, so we could do it at a younger age. Although, she still gets up and knocks on the door if she is not tired at night or when she is ready to wake up.

Quoting Reeny:“ A twin bed? That's actually not a bad idea. Is it low?”

His isnt that far off the ground, I would just get one of those mesh safety things lol whatever they are called so he doesnt roll off the bed. My son is a climber so he has no problems getting off or on it.
